What tools will I need to build my doll house?

Fine toothed saw, glue (recommend carpenter's glue or Elmer's), utility knife, masking tape, sandpaper :100 and 300 grit, paints, paint brushes, ruler and a square.

What does the MP, MM, or SP mean related t Doll House wood types?

What is MP?
MP is Milled Plywood.  The Cabinet grad used for exterior walls is 3/8" thick and the Clapboard profile is milled directly into the surface.  This is the easiest and quickest way to assemble a house with clapboard siding - because it is built in and ready to be painted.
What is MM?
MM is Milled Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF).  This is used to exterior 3/8" thick walls and the clapboard profile is milled directly into the surface.  It is built in and ready to paint.  MDF is exceptionally blemish free and is easier to paint.  MDF offers uniform thickness, stability from warping and the smooth interior surface is great for wallpapering.
What is SP?
With Smooth Plywood (SP), the exterior walls are smooth (no siding or textured profile).  Smooth plywood kits include everything except the clapboard siding, edge trim, shingles and shutters.

What is the difference between Brick (B), Scored, and Stucco Doll House Siding?

Brick - B: The exterior walls are pre-finished. They have painted wooden brick attached to them.
Scored: The exterior walls have a 3/4" spaced novelty siding profile that is milled into the walls.  The outside finish makes these kits easy to assemble and ready to paint.
Stucco:  The exterior walls are smooth.  Stucco kits include a formulated stucco mix.

What is the difference between Front Opening and Rear Opening?

A front-opening doll house will have a smooth back wall with front-opening panels.  The front-opening doll house design will keep the dust and cats outside.
A doll house that is rear opening will have attached front and side panels with the back completely open.
